Dr. John M. Yarborough

Dr. John Marion Yarborough, Jr., holds both B.S. and M.D. degrees from Tulane University and served his internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Penscola, FL. He served his residency at Charity and Tulane University Hospitals in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Yarborough was in private practice in New Orleans, where he lives with his family, for over 45 years until his retirement in December, 2010.

Dr. Yarborough has taught and trained residents from the Mayo Clinic in special preceptorships at his New Orleans office. In 2002, Dr. John M. Yarborough was named 'Practitioner of the Year' by the Dermatology Foundation for his exemplary service as a practitioner, teacher and researcher. In 2003, Dr. Yarborough began practicing with Dr. Sharon M. Meyer at Uptown Dermatology and Aesthetics.

Renown world-wide for pioneering and perfecting dermabrasion, also known as dermaplaning, techniques, Dr. John M. Yarborough continues to treat patients from all over the world, as well as from the United States.

Dr. John M. Yarborough is a trained concert pianist and has performed around the world. He is also a past member of the Metropolitan Opera National Council. When not spending time with his family, or involved in his musical interests, Dr. Yarborough is an avid big game fisherman.
